This is an eternal debate and the point is, there\u2019s no right or wrong answer. Every <strong>photographer<\/strong> is different. It\u2019s actually up to you. I personally have a<strong> Canon 80-E digital camera<\/strong>. Speak with other photographers, try, and see. But don\u2019t get me wrong, these aren\u2019t the only good <strong>brands<\/strong>. <strong>Sony<\/strong> and<strong> Fujifilm<\/strong> also make amazing cameras (like <strong><em>The Sony Alpha 7<\/em><\/strong><em><strong> II<\/strong><\/em> and the <strong><em>Fujifilm X-T10<\/em><\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->The choice of your <strong>camera lens <\/strong>is also very important.<strong> Concert venues <\/strong>tend to be pretty dark. Because of this, it\u2019s important for any lens you want to use for <strong>concert photography <\/strong>to have <strong>a large maximum aperture<\/strong> that will allow more<strong> light<\/strong> to enter the lens. Most live photographers have<strong> a 50mm lens <\/strong>with at least an<strong> f\/2.8 aperture<\/strong> (I would recommend <strong>a 50mm F\/1.4 lens or a 50mm F\/1.8 lens<\/strong>). Then, for <strong>bigger venues<\/strong>, if you are not on a tight <strong>budget<\/strong>, get a <strong>24-70mm f\/2.8<\/strong>. My best advice is to borrow it from a friend before buying it, to make sure you need it. This is an eternal debate and the point is, there\u2019s no right or wrong answer. Every <strong>photographer<\/strong> is different. It\u2019s actually up to you. I personally have a<strong> Canon 80-E digital camera<\/strong>. Speak with other photographers, try, and see. But don\u2019t get me wrong, these aren\u2019t the only good <strong>brands<\/strong>. <strong>Sony<\/strong> and<strong> Fujifilm<\/strong> also make amazing cameras (like <strong><em>The Sony Alpha 7<\/em><\/strong><em><strong> II<\/strong><\/em> and the <strong><em>Fujifilm X-T10<\/em><\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The choice of your <strong>camera lens <\/strong>is also very important.<strong> Concert venues <\/strong>tend to be pretty dark. Because of this, it\u2019s important for any lens you want to use for <strong>concert photography <\/strong>to have <strong>a large maximum aperture<\/strong> that will allow more<strong> light<\/strong> to enter the lens. Most live photographers have<strong> a 50mm lens <\/strong>with at least an<strong> f\/2.8 aperture<\/strong> (I would recommend <strong>a 50mm F\/1.4 lens or a 50mm F\/1.8 lens<\/strong>). Then, for <strong>bigger venues<\/strong>, if you are not on a tight <strong>budget<\/strong>, get a <strong>24-70mm f\/2.8<\/strong>. My best advice is to borrow it from a friend before buying it, to make sure you need it.
